My current favorite Shakespeare play is A Midsummer Night's Dream because we are reading it together as a family and we began watching it this past week. My boys (7 and 9) were begging to do more Shakespeare because they loved it so much! That felt like a huge win! We have enjoyed how "The Lord Chamberlain's Men" have done them (available on Youtube)...it is all male actors just like a true Shakespeare play would have been!
My kids and I are really enjoying The Twelfth Night. We’ve been in stitches acting out some of the funniest parts. The misunderstandings are right on par with a 90s RomCom. The crazy things is, it’s probably only the second of Shakespeare’s plays I’ve ever read! I look forward to more.
Hard to choose…but for now I’ll say The Winter’s Tale. It was the first Shakespeare play that we introduced to my middle daughter, and I’ll never forget watching her fall in love with Shakespeare. Four years later, Shakespeare is still her favorite part of school.
Right now it is A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The chaos of love triangles and the frivolity of it all is so enjoyable. This science curriculum looks excellent!
King Lear! The injustice of Lear's rejection of Cordelia gets me every time; it also helps that I read Moss Gown as a child and immediately saw the parallels in the story, and that I also saw an excellent professional performance of King Lear.
To quote a favorite film: "I could no sooner choose a favorite star in the heavens!"
I do love the Tempest. I won't say it's necessarily my only favorite but it's definitely in the top 5..Much Ado has some of my favorite lines of Shakespeare. Each play has its own delights and I have read and seen most of them over the years.
I love A Midsummer Night’s Dream the best because of the experience of it with my children…we read it, then watched it (marvelously!) acted out, and from there on they were in love with Shakespeare. :)

I'm not sure I can pick a favorite, but my kids were in Taming of the Shrew last year, which gave me a completely different perspective on it.
